BLT Crispy Bacon Lettuce Tomato (Print Version)

A crisp bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich layered with creamy mayo on toasted bread.

# What You'll Need:

→ Bread

01 - 4 slices white or whole wheat sandwich bread

→ Bacon

02 - 6 slices bacon

→ Produce

03 - 4 large lettuce leaves (romaine or iceberg)
04 - 1 large ripe tomato, sliced

→ Condiments

05 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

→ Optional

06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon slices until crispy, approximately 4 to 5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
02 - Toast the bread slices until golden brown and crisp.
03 - Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly on one side of each toast slice.
04 - Place the lettuce leaves on two of the bread slices, over the mayonnaise.
05 - Arrange the sliced tomato over the lettuce and season with freshly ground black pepper if desired.
06 - Top each sandwich with 3 slices of the crispy bacon.
07 - Cover with the remaining bread slices, mayonnaise side down.
08 - Slice each sandwich in half and serve immediately.
